Two speaking-contests were conducted by
Division B, of District 45, of Toastmasters International.
This Division comprises all of Maine and part of coastal southern New Hampshire.
INTERNATIONAL SPEECH Contest
I won 1st Place for my speech.
(Until I stop competing with this speech, I will not be publicly posting the title yet.)

TABLE TOPICS ™ (speech) Contest
I won 1st Place for the Table Topics ™ off-the-cuff speech I gave in response to the impromptu question: How do you build trust?
2nd place: Mary Hann (right) – 3rd place: Lesley Bechtold (left)
My specific goal has been all about the INTERNATIONAL SPEECH Contest, to at least get past the Division level. Having now achieved that goal, that moves me up to the next level: competing at the District 45 Spring Conference in two weeks, on May 15-17, 2015, in Manchester, New Hampshire.
That means that I now have the high honor to be competing on the same stage as my mentor, 4-time District 45 INTERNATIONAL SPEECH Contest winner, Joe Grondin. Whether I win or he wins this next contest, this is going to be so much fun!
